MAY 2018

May has been an odd month for us. We have had a few unexpected injuries and illnesses which has left us short of a few horses to take to shows. Murphy and Fleurie have been back in full swing but we are eagerly awaiting the 1st of June with them so they can gain their double clears for newcomers and foxhunter regional finals next summer, which ultimately allows them to try and qualify for the Horse of The Year Show, where everybody wants to jump. They have actually both already qualified for this year newcomers regional finals, but really at 5yrs old they are to young to jump them. The newcomers regional starts at 1.25m and is 3 rounds so usually goes up to 1.40m/1.45m in the last round, which personally I think is too big for a 5yr old.

We have been progressing with Ashdale Divine(Luna) who is another full sister to Timmy and Tempra. She is only 4 this year so have just been doing lots of schooling and clear round training at different venues. Also Iggy Pop CS (Ziggy) who is 5 but has not done anything. He is looking to be a great prospect for jumping or eventing as he also moves very well.

We are now concentrating on trying to get everybody fit and ready for next month as we will jump the British masters at Wettenhall which is a fantastic international show, only 40mins away from us.
