Itching for a solution?

TurmerItch is a pelleted supplement for a healthy skin and coat which has been developed for horses and ponies with issues such as biting insects and other skin conditions.

It combines key specialist ingredients including Neem, Red Bush Tea and Chamomile, to help provide relief from itching and soothe the skin by promoting a healthy skin and coat. It also contains Turmeric and Cooked Linseed to help produce a high shine to the horse’s coat.

We saw incredible results during the trial, check out our reviews and testimonials! The active ingredients in TurmerItch™ support biting insect repulsion and help maintain reduced sensitivity which was demonstrated during trials with the supplement over a 12-month period. Not only was the supplement extremely beneficial to horses suffering with biting insects as it reduced itching, it also improved hair regrowth and coat shine.

What is TurmerItch?

TurmerItch is our skin and coat supplement in a unique pellet form. It can be used to maintain a healthy skin and coat or can help horses and ponies with issues such as biting insects and other skin conditions.

How do I feed TurmerItch?

TurmerItch is such a versatile supplement that it can be added to daily feed or simply fed by hand – your horse/pony won’t turn their nose up at it!

What are the benefits of feeding TurmerItch?

TurmerItch can help with healthy skin and coats, repel biting insects, promote hair re-growth, provide soothing properties, and much more!

Can the pellets be soaked?

If needed, yes! This versatile supplement can suit any type of feed!

Do I need to add anything extra to this supplement?

No! TurmerItch is a complete supplement which has been formulated to be fully bioavailable.

As there is no black pepper in TurmerItch, what makes it bioavailable?

Quercetin which is found in Milk Thistle makes this supplement bioavailable.

What is bioavailability?

Bioavailability is the ease with which any nutrient can make its way from the food eaten into the body.

Why should I choose pellet over a powder supplement?

TurmerItch has been formulated with the highest quality ingredients to optimise bioavailabilty of the key functional ingredients. TurmerItch provides no mess and ensures your horse gets their daily dose unlike powders which can get stuck round their feed bowl or avoided.

My horse is a fussy eater, how do I know that he will eat TurmerItch?

TurmerItch has been formulated to be super tasty to horses and ponies! If you are unsure, then why not request a sample from us to try before you buy?!

Why is this supplement expensive compared to others?

We have spent a lot of time carefully formulating this supplement to provide the desired effect. This has meant that we have had to put a lot of high-quality expensive ingredients into TurmerItch.

Can I feed this supplement alongside others?

You may not need to, but TurmerItch can be fed alongside most supplements, we would advise to check with your vet if you had any concerns.

How long does TurmerItch last?

Based on a 500kg horse, TurmerItch will last approx. 40 days.

How much do I need to feed?

Please see our feeding guidelines tab for more information.

Neem Powder

We have included Neem Powder as it supports the immune system and keeps away insects

Red Bush Tea

It is rich in antioxidants and helps dry, itchy and irritated skin.

Chamomile Powder

Due to its calming qualities it helps to calm nerves and reduce stress

Milk Thistle Seed

Supports the liver and skin health

Turmeric Powder

We believe in the whole root rather than just an extract as turmeric is made up of over 200+ compounds that synergistically work together. Our curcumin levels will never be lower than 5.1%. We source from Indonesia rather than India due to quantities of lead being found in some sources of Indian grown turmeric.

Salt is included in this formula as it contains many of the valuable minerals your horse needs to promote a healthy balance in the body

Apple Cider Vinegar

Our apple cider vinegar is complete with “the mother”. We use this unfiltered version as it keeps the beneficial bacteria, yeast and protein. It is ripe with B-vitamins and polyphenols (plant-based antioxidants) and includes compounds such as quercetin which can help with absorption and bioavailability. It is also essential for good health and increases palatability

Cooked Linseed

Sourced from the UK, we use 100% whole linseed that has been cooked and micronized to provide the highest quality and to optimise digestibility and bioavailability of its nutrients. Linseed is high in oil, ideal to help with absorption of curcumin and is also rich in omegas 3, 6 and 9, and has natural antioxidant properties. It helps to maintain a healthy and shiny coat

Grass Nuts

100% chopped dried grass, cut, and processed to preserve the maximum levels of natural nutrients

Diamond V

Sourced from the states, it works naturally with the biology of the animal to help maintain immune strength, support digestive tissue integrity, and promotes a healthy microbial balance.

Contains a range of antioxidants and natural colourants. Generally, a big proportion of the equines diet is grass which is very green containing few types of antioxidants.

Because of domestication the modern-day horse is accustomed to lush, managed paddocks, compared to the wild where they would have foraged on shrubs, herbs and other plant material offering a wider antioxidant profile. This is why it is important to include antioxidants alongside vitamins and minerals for a balanced diet.

  • We have noticed plenty of improvements with feeding TurmerItch . Definite hair growth in areas which were bald last summer plus a more comfortable mare. Isla is not half as twitchy and uncomfortable when being groomed and when she has sweated up after work or a competition

  • Having looked into getting each of the ingredients but I just don’t have time to order all the bits and measure them out and check I’m getting it all right each day Turmeritch makes it really easy to feed the right proportions. She is significantly less itchy, especially around the face which suffered badly last year as she won’t tolerate a fly mask and destroys them to get them off.
