Choosing the Right Turmeric Supplement for You

According to research more than half of all adults in the UK regularly take a supplement. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, preventative health strategies have come to the fore as people focus on maintaining their health, including using vitamins and supplements for reasons such as immune health and mental wellbeing. A healthy diet and exercise are vital but choosing a suitable supplement can also support your body.

Right Turmeric Supplement for You

At The Golden Paste Company we focus on turmeric as it has been extensively researched and its powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative properties bring many benefits. From arthritis to cancer, turmeric has been proven to support the body’s natural defence mechanisms. For example, less than a teaspoon a day of turmeric appears to significantly lower the DNA-mutating ability of caner-causing substances. Our customers take our supplements for lots of different reasons including digestion, joint support, immune support, and also for more specific conditions such as endometriosis and arthritis.

Our turmeric comes in two forms – capsule and paste. Both are carefully formulated for maximum bioavailability so that you get the benefits of adding turmeric to your diet. For people who are on the go a lot, the capsules are a quick, tasteless and convenient way to take turmeric. Our paste customers either have the paste straight from a teaspoon or add to food and drinks.

We recommend you following our guidelines on how much to take so that you feel a difference and get the maximum benefit. You can check out our products here.

Turmeric Golden Paste for People

Who should avoid turmeric?

There is some evidence that curcumin may bind with iron affecting absorption so is best avoided by those with low iron/anaemia. High levels in humans may cause gastric upsets e.g. diarrhoea, so stick to the recommended daily amounts. Those who are pregnant, have gallstones, or are susceptible to kidney stones may want to moderate their turmeric consumption.

Does turmeric have lead in it?

Turmeric from India has been in the news recently as some batches have been found to contain high levels of lead. The Golden Paste Company sources all of its turmeric from Indonesia and can guarantee it safe for human and animal consumption. Our specialist turmeric supplements are of the highest quality.
